South Park - Margaritaville

Sometimes I forget how amazing South Park is. Then I’ll watch an episode and be instantly reminded. On last night’s episode, Matt and Trey came through on their trademark ability to take a complex current issue and boil it down to a storyline that not only sums it up, but is funny to a large age range. Check it out here if you missed it.

Every few months I remeber that South Park is one of my favorite TV shows and start to watch it live again.  I agree with Ricky that last night’s was one of those exceptional episodes that cuts to the core of an issue with a clarity and wit that almost no other TV show can muster.

How hot is Lily Allen?  I have such a crush on her, and only half of it is accent-related.  That said, I would be nervous to hook up with her since, as this tune shows, she has no problem discussing the intimate details of her relationships in her songs.  I’d still probably do it, though, so Lily, if you read this, ring my mobile at +44 011 36 36652 3889767.

Very funny Jake and Amir from the last live show.  And wouldn’t you know it, there’s another one TONIGHT at 9:30 at the UCB!  Reservations are sold out but that doesn’t mean you can’t come.  Just show up and hop on the standby line.  The UCB is very good about getting in as many people as possible so there is a very good chance you’ll make it in.  Hope to see you there!

Two of my co-workers made a fantastic apperance on last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.  Sadly, Streeter didn’t accept my dare to pull out a mug of beer mid-interview and demand Kimmel join him in a “ziggy zoggy” from The Man Show.

I forgot my beer backstage.  Otherwise I would have totally done it.

My word that was fun.  The whole staff at Kimmel was awesome and made sure we wanted for nothing.  We even got to go hang out after the show and have black and tans with Kimmel and his staff.

We fly home tomorrow and I must say I’m sad to leave LA and my sweet, sweet car.  Hopefully we’ll get to come back at some point because this has been a really fun trip.

And now to watch myself be awkward on TV.

Being that I’ve never owned, driven or even rented a luxury car I decided that I would do so during my 3 days in LA.  I have to drive everywhere out here so I needed a car anyway and for the price of renting a Honda Civic in NYC, you can get this in LA.  After a day spent tooling around in this baby I would very much like to become rich one day because these are really, realy fun to drive. Here I am calling my people and setting up a meeting while I casually enjoy a cigarette.  How fun. Bonus: My hotel is apparently home to some hip bar that I am not cool enough to drink at.  When I pulled into the parking lot a few minutes ago a crowd of papparazzi readied their cameras and aimed them at me, only to be let down when they saw some chubby, bearded dude behind the wheel who wasn’t Seth Rogen. And that was the closest I’ll ever come to being a celebrity.
